The Lubbock County District Attorney’s office plans to file charges against the owners and clerk of a smoke shop after a Thursday morning raid turned up synthetic marijuana.
Todd Smith, chief investigator, said officers found 639 packages of synthetic marijuana at the Smoker’s Choice shop located at 4435 34th St.
“Charges will be pending,” he said.
Smith said this is the second time Smoker’s Choice has been raided for selling the substance.

The Lubbock Police Department recently released three images a suspect in the robbery of Pronto Mart.
Officials said the robbery occurred about 6:40 p.m. Sept. 23 at Pronto Mart in the 500 block of 50th Street in Lubbock.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, who was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

Police continued searching Monday for a murder suspect after a man was found dead Sunday afternoon in Lubbock.
Officials said police received a call of shots fired about 1:45 p.m. at Eagle Pointe Townhomes in the 6100 block of Avenue R in Lubbock.
When police arrived, they found 32-year-old Ernest Deanthony Turman dead at the scene.
The suspect, who residents described as a black man, fled on foot.
On Monday, police released a preliminary incident report. The shooter’s identity was still unknown.
