BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Court records say a Vermont mother charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of her weeks-old son was intoxicated when she smothered him as they slept.
According to records obtained by The Burlington Free Press, 27-year-old Rosemary Gile of Worcester had a blood alcohol level of 0.132 when police arrived early July 22 on a report of an unresponsive baby.
Gile is due to be arraigned on the felony charge Thursday in Superior Court in Burlington. If convicted, she faces up to 15 years in prison.

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Wal-Mart has denied claims by lawyers for actor-comedian Tracy Morgan that it is stalling a federal lawsuit over a fatal highway crash in New Jersey last summer.
In a court filing Monday, attorneys for Morgan opposed a motion by Wal-Mart driver Kevin Roper to intervene in the case. Roper isn't named as a defendant but is facing criminal charges in New Jersey.
Morgan's attorneys accuse Wal-Mart of stalling to avoid the disclosure of its safety practices.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Three women who claim they were victimized by Bill Cosby are scheduled to appear at a press conference called by attorney Gloria Allred.
Allred has scheduled a press conference for Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles and says she will propose a way the women can "obtain justice" despite statutes of limitations that would prevent criminal or civil cases from being filed.
