Lubbock ME investigated 'unusual scene' at house where Jeffcoat found murdered
Lubbock County’s Chief Medical Examiner joined sheriff’s investigators in what he described as an “unusual scene” during Holli Jeffcoat’s homicide investigation.
Medical examiner Dr. Sridhar Natarajan on Monday told A-J Media he felt the need to go to the home where the 18-year-old’s body was found earlier this month in rural East Lubbock County after he was told about the scene and some of the findings.
“It was an unusual scene,’ he said. “Even in the idea that there are many scenes we attend, there were unusual things about it.”

Garcia, accused in West Garza killing, among 3 indicted in separate homicide investigations
A Lubbock County grand jury returned indictments Tuesday against three people arrested in separate homicide investigations.
Enrique Cuvillier, 30, Pete Garcia Jr., 55, and Yvonne Gonzales are charged with murder.
Garcia is accused in the Feb. 7 shooting death of Lubbock and Levelland musician Orestes “West” Garza in the St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church parking lot.
Garza’s girlfriend, who was Garcia’s ex-wife, told investigators she saw Garcia chase Garza in the parking lot and shoot him in the back four times before driving away.

Jeffcoat's family begins support initiatives amid investigation
Family members were calling for justice for Holli Jeffcoat as the homicide investigation continued at Crossfire Manufacturing on Tuesday morning.
Ronny Lemmond, Jeffcoat’s uncle, said he will not stop until police have made an arrest in connection with the 18-year-old’s murder earlier this month in an East Lubbock County home.
With the case entering its second week and no arrests made, Lemmond spoke of his frustrations with the case.
