An arrest warrant released on Friday details the events that led to the apprehension of James Bryant Holland, 39, on Thursday night.

Holland was brought to the Lubbock County Detention Center handcuffed and escorted by officials where he is being held on a $2 million bond on a charge of continued aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The arrest comes as the sheriff’s office investigates the murder of Holland’s stepdaughter, 18-year-old Holli Jeffcoat, who was found dead Feb. 10 in her east Lubbock County home. No charges have been filed in connection to Jeffcoat’s death.

When 26-year-old musician Yishay Montgomery smashed his guitar on an accused terrorist’s head Tuesday in Israel, he did not realize Lubbock native Taylor Force had been fatally stabbed in the attack.

He said the news shocked him because he too has family in Lubbock.

Montgomery said he sat beachside playing his music in a heavily populated tourist area in Jaffa when he heard a commotion and sprang into action.

“I heard people screaming and when I looked up, the guy was running toward me,” Montgomery said during a phone interview from Israel.
