The widow of a man killed in a five-vehicle wreck last month at 19th Street and Quaker Avenue has sued the driver accused of causing the wreck, the driver’s father and the owners of an apartment complex.
Alicia Garcia’s suit, the second filed in less than a week, alleges 17-year-old Jessica Traylor was driving after she got drunk at an apartment complex pool party at The Ranch Apartments, 1002 Frankford Ave.

Federal grand jury indicts Fortner on obscene materials charge
A Lubbock man arrested last week for allegedly trying to solicit sex from an underage girl was indicted on a different charge.
A federal grand jury on Wednesday, May 15, indicted Trevor Jacob Fortner on one count of attempting to transfer obscene materials to a minor.
Fortner, a former youth minister at a Levelland church, was arrested after exchanging text messages and emails with an undercover Lubbock police officer who was posing as a 15-year-old girl.
A Wolfforth resident arrested last month on a Canadian court’s bench warrant has been indicted in Lubbock on two federal gun possession charges.
Jacobo Peters Fehr, 46, was indicted Wednesday, May 15, on one count of being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm, and one count of being a fugitive in possession of a firearm.
A spokesman for the Ontario Attorney General’s Office told the Avalanche-Journal Fehr is wanted on a four-count bench warrant alleging violations of Canada’s Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
