Women rob man Friday morning
Two women were reported to have robbed a man at 19th Street and University Avenue on Friday morning. Both women were said to be black and wearing white shirts; one had black pants and the other was wearing a black skirt. According to police, the women left the scene down the alley behind the IHOP.

The Texas Department of Public Safety will significantly increase trooper patrols Memorial Day weekend to help keep Texas roadways safe, according to a statement from the DPS.
During the increased patrols Friday, May 24, through Monday, May 27, troopers will look for drunken drivers, speeders, seat belt violators and other traffic violators statewide.
More charges filed in prostitution, theft case
A Lubbock County grand jury handed down more indictments against a man and woman already accused of robbing men through a prostitution scheme.
Toni Rodriguez, 21, was indicted on Tuesday, May 21, on one count of aggravated robbery and two counts of robbery.
Her alleged partner, Christopher Sharp, 21, was indicted on two counts of robbery.
Lubbock police are asking for the public to help identify the victim of an aggravated assault that happened last month in a Stripes convenience store.
Several gunshots were fired at the time of the incident about 9:30 p.m. April 20 in the store at 202 50th St., according to a statement from Lubbock police.
It was not clear to what extent the victim was injured, if at all.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Crime Line at 741-1000. Callers may remain anonymous.
Lubbock police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in the burglary of the Chapman Field House about 5 a.m. May 5 in the 2300 block of Avenue W.
The man was described as Hispanic with light skin, in his late teens or early 20s with short, dark brown hair, according to a statement from the Lubbock Police Department.
He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a black tank top underneath and dark blue or black shorts with a light blue stripe down the side of the leg.
A Petersburg man was indicted on Tuesday, May 21, on charges of aggravated sexual assault on a woman he allegedly abducted while she walked along a street in Lubbock.
According to police records, Edward Arriaga, 24, abducted the woman July 7 as she was walking on the street to a family member’s house.
The woman told police he threatened to kill her if she resisted and forced her to have sex with him in the back seat of his car. He then drove her to Petersburg and took her into a home he unlocked with a key, and forced her to have sex with him again.
