A lawsuit seeking more than $1 million in damages was filed in Garza County District Court on behalf of a ranking sheriff’s deputy who was struck and severely injured by a box truck on an icy highway near Post earlier this month.
The suit, filed Monday, Feb. 24, by the Lubbock law firm of Glasheen, Valles & Inderman, seeks damages for Garza County Chief Deputy Sheriff Charlie Evans, after he was injured while assisting at the scene of a Feb. 4 collision involving a big rig on U.S. 84 about four miles west of Post.
