The Lubbock Police Department arrested 21-year-old Davadrick Runels on Tuesday morning in connection with recent robberies.
He was in the 600 block of 39th Street and was taken into custody by U.S. marshals on two aggravated robbery warrants, Lubbock Police Capt. Jon Caspell said during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.
Runels may have been involved in several other robberies dating as far back as May, Caspell said during the news conference in which police addressed what they called "an uptick" in recent business robberies.
The four men arrested in connection with the armed robbery and shooting at a West Lubbock gun store were indicted by a Lubbock County grand jury Tuesday afternoon.
Jaime Garcia, 18, Jonah Garza, 20, Jacob Pereida, 18, and Deshawn Willard, 20, were charged with aggravated robbery in connection with the Oct. 20 robbery at Fred’s Gun Emporium.
